Microscopes

Scope Instrument Services repair, service & align all makes & models of microscopes on-site. Our service manager has 34 years experience in servicing compound, stereo (dissecting), fluorescent, metallurgical, inverted & phase microscopes.  There is no NATA certification specific to microscopes, as there are no calibratable points. AIOH Technical Paper 2018, Asbestos Analytical Equipment Calibration Requirements recommend a minimum interval of 12 months for the servicing and alignment of microscopes. For microscopes that are in operation all day, as is often the case in Anatomical Pathology, Cytology, Haematology and Microbiology, we recommend six monthly servicing.

Centrifuges

Scope Instrument Services repair, service and calibrate all makes and models of centrifuges on-site. Our NATA Accreditation Lab number is 19993. We are compliant to ISO/IEC 17025 Calibration for centrifuges up to 15000 RPM and testing of the timer. We carry many parts including switches, struts, brushes and relays. ISO/AS 15189:2005 Requirements in the Field of Medical Testing did recommend a minimum calibration interval of 12 months. The latest version of this document refers to the NATA Calibration Reference Equipment Table for calibration intervals, where centrifuges have not been specifically listed.  All calibratable equipment must be calibrated on a regular basis. Centrifuges that are heavily used and require parts such as brushes and relays to function, often require to be serviced every 6 months to reduce breakdowns. We have an Uncertainty of 2 RPM or 0.1%, whichever is greater. Timer uncertainty of 2 seconds.
